This privacy policy explains how the BIOLAND-Cy project website (bioland-cy.eratosthenes.org.cy) handles personal data, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
BIOLAND-Cy is a research project of the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence, Limassol, Cyprus, funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) under EXCELLENCE/0925/0163. Data controller: Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence. Contact: the Project Coordinator via the contact page.
We collect only the minimum data needed to operate the site: (1) newsletter sign-ups (email address, with double opt-in and an unsubscribe link in every email); (2) contact-form submissions (name, email, message — retained only as long as needed to reply); (3) event registrations (name, email, affiliation — deleted after the event); and (4) anonymised website analytics, if enabled, with IP anonymisation and cookie consent.
Strictly necessary cookies (site function, security) are used without consent. Any analytics or non-essential cookies are loaded only after you give consent via the cookie banner. See the cookie settings link in the footer.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting the Project Coordinator. You may also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (Cyprus).
Personal data is retained only for the duration of the project plus a limited period required for reporting, after which it is deleted.
